Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon will be a gorgeous pairing for an assortment of grilled meats, game and duck dishes.

Starlite Vineyards, the premier Sonoma County boutique winery, today announced the release of its latest vintage, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon. This highly anticipated wine is expected to wow the palate due to the ideal climate conditions that the famed Alexander Valley, where the vineyard is located, experienced that year.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon revels in seductive tones of plums and cassis with luscious depth. Fermented in French oak barrels, the gorgeous tannins are integrated into layers of silky textures and perfect acidity. Bottling of the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon was completed in December 2012, with a limited release of 175 cases.

“The prior vintage of this wine scored 94 points from the Beverage Testing Institute, and this wine is likely to match the prior scores,” said Arman Pahlavan, proprietor of Starlite Vineyards. “It’s a stunning example of the Alexander Valley cabernet fruit with a big herbaceous bouquet and hints of vanilla and chocolate."

“Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon will be a gorgeous pairing for an assortment of grilled meats, game and duck dishes,” he added.

The wine is currently available for retail purchase at the Starlite Vineyards Tasting Room (5511 Highway 128, Geyserville, Calif.) and on its website. Acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurant Daniel in New York and Gotham are serving the wine on their menus, and Alexander’s Steakhouse was the first San Francisco restaurant to add the wine to its list.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon joins Starlite Vineyards’ highly praised collection of varietals. The company has received 92 or more points for four of its vintages – including the 2007 Zinfandel, 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2010 Viognier and 2006 Zinfandel – from the Beverage Tasting Institute and Wine Enthusiast.
