The awards celebrate the top private tech companies in North America

GridGain Systems, the leader in in-memory computing, was named a finalist for the 2013 Red Herring North America Awards in the Big Data/Storage sector. The awards celebrate the top private tech companies in North America.

Red Herring 100 Awards are widely recognized as one of the industry’s more prestigious recognitions, with up to 1,400 candidates from each continent competing each year. Finalist for the 2013 Red Herring 100 North America Awards are based on high ratings in overall technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition and financial health.

GridGain develops next generation In-Memory Computing and Data Management software that provides storage and processing, with stream processing for operational Big Data in a single platform. It combines distributed and transactional In-Memory NoSQL and MapReduce technologies – delivering a 10x – 1000x performance increase over traditional disk-based systems.

The top 100 were asked to be part of the final phase of the award process – a live presentation at the Red Herring North America Forum in Monterey, California, from May 21 to 23.
