"The App engages users with 3D models, interactive tools and a level of simulation that is as close to dissecting a real frog as possible on a mobile device," says Richard Hill, co-Founder of Froguts Inc.

Froguts, a leading developer of virtual biology dissections and labs has just released the first ever virtual frog dissection App for Google Nexus Tablets and Phones. The Android App called "Froguts Frog Dissection" is the first virtual frog dissection to work on a Android device. "The App engages users with 3D models, interactive tools and a level of simulation reality that is as close to dissecting a real frog as possible on a mobile device," says Richard Hill, co-Founder of Froguts Inc. Richard goes on to say that the Frog Dissection App is just the first in a series of Apps that Froguts will be developing in a series of dissection modules, biology labs, and general science Apps. The Froguts Frog Dissection App works on Google's Nexus 4 phone and its Nexus 7 & 10 tablets.
The Froguts Frog Dissection App enables users to interactively use tools like the scalpel, scissors, forceps, pins and even a microscope to explore and learn about the anatomy and physiology of a frog. "The App focuses on a different experience than our online service and is a great supplement to those found on the service," says David Hughes, co-Founder of Froguts Inc. After dissecting the frog's major systems, learners are able to undertake the challenge of an actual lab practicum. Students receive a score upon completion, or in the case of timed practicums they can establish their mastery of the concepts by beating the countdown timer. Assessments are divided into general systems and assess students on anatomy identification and physiology function.
Along with new upcoming Apps the Frog Dissection will receive updates that will be free to existing owners of the App. Froguts is also working to ensure that our Apps are available on a variety of platforms for tablets and phones. Froguts has been known since 2001 for its engaging and interactive simulations of dissection and general biology labs through its CD and download software. In 2012 an online service was released to ease access to its catalog of modules and labs which now include the Frog, Squid, Starfish, Cow Eye, Owl Pellet, Fetal Pig, and Genetics Lab.
