What: RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association will host the 2nd Annual DC Walk of Hope. 400+ people expected to walk to show their support for women and men struggling with the disease of infertility.

Why:    

  •     More than 300,000 women and men living in Maryland, DC and Virginia are facing infertility.
  •     There are only 16 support groups in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  •     The first successful IVF was conducted in Virginia.
  •     Maryland is the only state in the area with an insurance mandate the covers infertility treatment.
  •     RESOLVE headquarters has called this area home since 2004.

Who:     Infertility affects 7.3 million people in the U.S. This figure represents 12% of women of childbearing age, or 1 in 8 couples. 110,198 in Arizona are impacted by infertility.
