The UASRC has had a fantastic inaugural year. Our grassroots approach has allowed us to grow organically in all facets of the organization.

June 18th 2013 marked the one year anniversary of a unique organization. The UASRC was formed to help create a positive change in the storm restoration industry. It would not have been possible without the vision, and support of some of the most respected storm restoration contractors in the industry. They established this organization with a mission to promote the highest ethical standards in the industry. This is accomplished by adhering to a code of professional conduct, educating property owners, and other interested parties about the insurance restoration process and giving back to the community through outreach and charitable programs. In these first twelve months the UASRC has completed over fifteen outreach events including relief efforts for super storm Sandy on the east coast.
The UASRC also has a ten member advisory board that consists of key industry leaders. These leaders represent ABC Supply, Allied Building Products, Acculynx, Roofing Contractor Marketing, SRS Distribution, GAF, Owens Corning, Certainteed, Eagle View, and Beacon Roofing Supply. “Our advisory board members are critical to the success of the UASRC mission. They provide guidance and industry knowledge that keep the UASRC moving in the right direction,” said Jacob Sachs, the UASRC Executive Director.
“With 33 members covering 28 active severe weather states, UASRC members are poised to help tens of thousands of homeowners this year alone. The association is growing steadily and going forward that growth will allow the UASRC to make a real difference in areas affected by damaging weather,” said Joe Hoffman Co-Chairman and founding member from Hoffman Weber Construction.
The growth of the UASRC has been surprising to some, but is actually part of a well calculated growth plan. “We allow for the addition of 50 members per year. We have an in-depth application and screening process to ensure new members are of the caliber needed to maintain the best standards in the industry,” said Bill Combes, Director of Marketing and Membership.
With over 150 years of combined experience in the roofing and restoration industry, members look to make a positive impact on the industry by providing the best in-class service to homeowners affected by storms. The UASRC will also work closely with legislators, insurance companies, and both local and national media to improve the practices and image of the storm restoration industry.
“The UASRC has had a fantastic inaugural year. Our grassroots approach has allowed us to grow organically in all facets of the organization. The charitable outreach program, encouragement of positive legislation for homeowners, and growing membership of quality contractors has been great for UASRC over the past 12 months. It is exciting and rewarding to be part of such a great not-for-profit organization and I look forward to the future,” said Rich Spanton, Chairman and founding member from Mastercraft Exteriors, Inc.
