Wyvern, the air charter industry’s leading resource for safety consulting, auditing and information services, has named Art Dawley as Managing Director. Art brings over 25 years of business aviation experience to the Wyvern management team including time as a corporate pilot, aviation department manager and most recently, a member of Wyvern’s audit team. In response to increasing demand for international charter operators that meet the safety requirements of The Wyvern Standard, Wyvern continues to expand its global audit team with the addition of Johan Moberg and Franklin Davis.
In addition to his past auditing experience with Wyvern, Art is an experienced aviation department manager and corporate pilot having worked at established flight departments in the Southern California region for over 25 years. He has logged over 11,000 hours total flying time, much of it in international long-range operations. Art speaks fluent Spanish and has owned and operated FAA certified charter and maintenance businesses in Latin America since 2004. "I am very excited to join the Wyvern team as Managing Director. Johan Moberg joins Wyern as a Safety Auditor with extensive operational experience in offshore oil, gas and petroleum (OGP) helicopter operations and over 8,000 hours of flight time. His extensive experience in the West African and Middle East regions will give Wyvern a full-time regional presence that will benefit its clients with strategic interests in those areas. In addition to his rotor experience, Johan is type-rated in Gulfstream IV/IV-SP, Learjet 30 series and Sabreliner business jets. He graduated from Embry Riddle with an emphasis on Aviation Safety Management.
Franklin Davis has also joined Wyvern as a Safety Consultant and Auditor after serving as Director of Aviation for American International Group (AIG) in Teterboro, New Jersey. Franklin brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective acquired during his 34-year career in corporate aviation which includes service as chairman of NBAA’s International Operations Committee.
