NFI, a leading supply chain company headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is pleased to announce that Rob Barron, Executive Vice President, is one of the presenters at this year’s Alternative Clean Transportation Expo (ACT).
Responsible for NFI’s Transportation Management department, Barron spearheads all green initiatives to reduce overall fuel costs for the company.
The 2013 ACT Expo will provide training opportunities on alternative fuels, fleet management, and procurement processes. Decision makers from the transportation and automotive industries will be in attendance at ACT, which takes place June 24-27 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
“It’s an honor to speak to the leaders in the alternative fuels arena,” said Barron. “NFI has been an EPA SmartWay Partner for many, many years and we are proud of our eco-friendly and our green initiatives. This is a great opportunity to showcase what NFI is doing while gathering new information on environmentally friendly technologies and systems.”
EPA and SmartWay are partnering with the ACT Expo to showcase how industry leaders are working to improve efficiency and reduce emissions from goods movement, by using advanced technologies and operational practices to save fuel, reduce costs, and reduce greenhouse gases and other emissions.
NFI joined the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) SmartWay Transportation Partnership in 2004. The SmartWay Transportation Partnership is an innovative collaboration between the EPA and the freight industry to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
