Walkers Shortbread, Inc.

For many people, the Walkers pure-butter shortbread evokes warm memories of the holidays; time spent with friends and family, good food, and laughter. This year at the 2013 Specialty Food Association Summer Fancy Food Show, Walkers Shortbread introduces a variety of new keepsake tins and an adorable new Chocolate Scottie Dog Shortbread cookie at booth 2736. These new items put a delightful spin on the treat that has meant ‘holidays’ to generations of people worldwide.

A cookie that will have you “pawing” for more
An item sure to please the canine-loving family member, friend or co-worker is Walkers’ newest shortbread cookie, the whimsical Chocolate Scottie Dog Shortbread. This inspired cookie follows in the “paw” prints of the much-loved pure-butter Scottie dog shortbread cookie released in 2012, which has become one of Walkers’ best selling items. Sales of both cookies will continue to support the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®.

Festive tins for a delicious holiday keepsake
The newest addition to the shortbread brand’s ever-popular Festive Shapes Holiday Line is a Festive Shapes Drum Tin. This new Drum features shiny graphics to add a touch of eye-catching sparkle. The 8.8-ounce package features assorted festive-shaped shortbread, and makes easy gifting for holiday parties or stocking fillers.

Ideal for Christmas, Walkers unveils a Shortbread Christmas Tree Tin containing 46 mini Christmas tree shortbread cookies, perfect for sharing or gifting. This festive tin is a great party pleaser or table centerpiece.

A new look for Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster
Targeted towards a younger shortbread fan, Walkers releases a new tin featuring a modern-day take on Nessie, Scotland’s favorite mythical creature. The tin features Nessie dressed in a Walkers tartan scarf and hat, playing bagpipes against a backdrop of the glorious Scottish Highlands. The tin contains 8.8 ounces of triangle shaped shortbread, baked to the traditional family recipe.

An ode to the royal family
Walkers Shortbread honors Queen Elizabeth’s remarkable 60 year reign with the release of two new tins: a Royal Family Gold Tin and a Union Jack Queen Tin. The gold tin features the Queen surrounded by Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall. The Union Jack Tin depicts the Queen making a public appearance, surrounded by adoring crowds waving Union Jacks. The tin is filled with pure-butter shortbread in the shape of the Union Jack Flag.
