Intense Lighting Debuts Several New Products at AIA Show in Response to Ongoing Customer Demand

Intense Lighting, a leading manufacturer of award-winning LED specification grade lighting solutions will debut several new energy efficient products at the AIA national convention in Denver, Co. this week. This is in addition to the nationwide launch of Impression, a small aperture downlight that features state-of-the-art LED technology.

Events like the AIA Convention give us the opportunity to showcase our newest and most exciting products, says Kenny Eidsvold, President of Intense Lighting.

In response to ongoing customer demand for new, solutions-based products that are energy efficient, versatile and options-rich, the following luminaries are also now available nationwide:

V-Rail SPI

Intense Lighting’s IVR2-SPI (slim post integral) is the latest addition to the successful V-Rail series. V-Rail integrates LED lighting into a sleek, aluminum and stainless steel handrail system. The IVR2-SPI series features an integral power supply within a slim, 2" post assembly. This ensures proper operation of the LEDs and allows for easy access and maintenance to all electrical components. This also allows for individual driver control on long runs that may require different light levels and ensures it will qualify as emergency egress by having redundant systems. The IVR2-SPI offers mounting options that include post or embedded. A wall mount is not available. The IVR2-SPI system complies with ADA codes and carries a UL Wet location listing.

Preview the New V-Rail 1.5

An addition to the V-Rail portfolio is also coming in August with the launch of the V-Rail 1.5. The new V-Rail 1.5 features a true 1.5-inch outer diameter with a fine-tuned optical system (including symmetric and asymmetric). The V-Rail 1.5 will also feature a small 90-degree aperture lens that provides optimal cut-off and reduced glare. A remote or integral power supply is also available. The new V-Rail 1.5 meets all building code requirements for handrail systems throughout the United States and Canada. It is an ideal design solution in a variety of commercial, residential, health care and hospitality applications.

Orbis LED Pluris Multiple Recessed

Intense Lighting adds the Orbis family of fixtures to the Pluris line with the new Orbis ceramic metal halide. Its clean look and architectural design with concealed wiring and an enhanced plaster frame for trimless installations make it an ideal choice for retail applications. Luminaires are available in semi-recessed or recessed and allow for an increase in adjustability and vertical tilt up to 40 degrees.

Lamp type options include GU6.5 and PGJ5 with an LED version being released in August 2013.

Compared to the traditional Pluris Multiples product series, the Orbis CMH offers a sleek, more sophisticated alternative.

Orbis LED Track Luminaire

The Orbis LED is an expansion of Intense Lighting’s award-winning MB track line but offers a cleaner, more sophisticated design aesthetic. It is ideal for high performance spot lighting with its high level HCBC. The Orbis is a highly efficient luminaire and offers an efficiency of 68 lumens per watt (LPW). With its excellent beam control utilizing Intense Lighting’s, the Orbis LED is an excellent alternative to a 50W MR16 or 20W ceramic metal halide. The Orbis LED track luminaire features multiple CRI and CCT options, 3 Step MacAdam (3 SDMC) binning, and active thermal management that includes a quiet and reliable operation noise rating below 22dBA.

MB Mini Track Head

Bigger isn’t always better. The new MB Mini track luminaire is the newest addition to the award-winning MB line from Intense Lighting. With lighting trends moving towards smaller and more versatile fixtures, the MB Mini is smaller and less intrusive than anything else in its product line today. Ideal in retail settings, the MB Mini is an ideal replacement for the 20W ceramic halide fixture and 50W MR-16. The MB Mini offers 650, 900, and up to 1200 delivered lumens. It features all the same optics as the MB with multiple CCTs including 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K with CRI options of 82 and 92 (92 CRI only available in 2700K and 3000K). A 3-step Macadam Ellipse tolerance is standard and ensures accuracy of color consistency while eliminating light or color variances.

“We appreciate the opportunity that shows like the AIA give us each year to showcase our most exciting and newest products,” says Kenny Eidsvold, President of Intense Lighting. “We are able to do so because we have a customer base that constantly challenges us to create more options and tools to solve their lighting challenges. We believe we continue to accomplish so much because of the outstanding team approach we take at Intense Lighting, and our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding products and customer service.”
