In this month’s issue of Dahn Yoga Life, Dahn Yoga & Health Centers, Inc., a national leader in health and wellness, shares the story of Daniel Lesho, an active Navy officer and DahnMuDo Martial Art Blue Belt who found himself teaching classes onboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Nimitz.
The June 2013 newsletter tells the story of how the DahnMuDo class Lesho teaches on an aircraft carrier at sea has become a popular activity for shipmates who say they are experiencing the benefits from classes throughout the week. Lesho comments, “I probably taught about 60 people total in the first month. Those who repeat classes say it’s a good way to release the week’s tensions. I’ve noticed that those who attend regular class smile more.”
Lesho adds that teaching the classes has enhanced his confidence, “I have discovered that I have it within me to stand confidently and lead the group, and that I have the ability to create something from nothing, from just an idea. My organizational and leadership skills have been enhanced due to this program.”
