AXIS and Celltick Partner to Launch AXIS Buzz Mobile Application

Consumers are able to personalize Android devices and are set to receive over 300 million Indonesian rupiah worth of free coupons from KFC through application’s mobile deals and offers.

AXIS, the leading online operator in Indonesia with over 17 million subscribers, today announced that it has launched AXIS Buzz, a customized version of the Active lockscreen application from Celltick Technologies, a global leader in mobile initiated commerce.

With the AXIS Buzz mobile app, AXIS is the first operator in Indonesia to be able to offer its customers a unique personalization experience for their Android devices. The app creates a highly personalized experience for AXIS’ Android customers, creating an easier to navigate interface for the consumer. The app provides fast access to the customer’s favorite and most frequently used contacts, applications, content and device functionalities. Users can also choose from hundreds of themes and plugins as well as create their own personalized backgrounds for their Android smartphones.

In addition to providing a more personalized experience, Celltick and a local partner, Lintas, have created a service for AXIS that delivers free content and targeted relevant coupons and offers that provide value to the consumer. The companies have partnered with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) to provide free coupons worth 350,000,000 Indonesian rupiah or $35,000 in US currency for the initial users who download and use the application. The application includes services that are location based, context sensitive and cater to the needs of users beyond the mobile phone such as savings on everyday spends. The KFC coupon is valid in appointed stores for certain products.
