Doug Levy, author of Can’t Buy Me Like and CEO of MEplusYOU, talks authentic customer relationships versus social media hype at Telligent’s The Big Social

Telligent, a leading provider of social community software for the enterprise, announced today that Doug Levy, CEO and founder of MEplusYOU (formerly imc2), and co-author of Can’t Buy Me Like: How Authentic Customer Connections Drive Superior Results, will be a keynote speaker at The Big Social 2013.

Based on his recent book Can’t Buy Me Like, Levy’s keynote will focus on how companies can outperform their competitors by building more authentic customer relationships. Co-authored by fellow advertising and media veteran Bob Garfield, the book discusses how businesses will succeed by embracing honesty, transparency and shared values over putting blind faith in social media. At The Big Social, Levy will blend new research, examples and practical advice to illustrate how any company can succeed in an era that rewards authenticity over hip social media promotions.

Doug Levy and his agency have worked with numerous well-known companies such as Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company, Pizza Hut, Louisville Slugger, Samsung and RadioShack. Through his work, Levy shows companies that the most successful marketing is oriented around fostering authentic and sustainable relationships.

“Telligent’s user group conference, The Big Social, is all about customer experience,” said Patrick Brandt, Telligent CEO. “And Doug is really a perfect fit,” continued Brandt. “He knows what companies – no matter the size or industry – need to focus on to achieve long-term relationships with customers.”

Telligent’s user group conference, The Big Social, is an annual gathering of online community and social business professionals. Designed for customers by customers, The Big Social invites attendees to share best practices, real-world solutions, insights and ideas for delivering social customer experiences through online communities. The Big Social is returning to Dallas, Texas, September 23-25, 2013. For more information, please visit:
