Dr. Richard Arabitg offers a variety of facial cosmetic procedures at his practice to both women and men. In response to a recent article by Fox News, he discusses why more men are turning to cosmetic surgery. From liposuction and implants to nose jobs and more, men are changing their looks.
According to the article, more men are concerned about the way they look. One man wanted a tighter neck and more defined jaw line. Even after working out four days a week, he still couldn’t achieve his goal. And so instead, he opted for plastic surgery. He got neck liposuction to give him a more masculine and defined jaw line, and he is not alone in his desire.
Just as fashion trends change, so do cosmetic trends. The hot item right now is a square jaw, whereas it was previously a “pert-nose-and-dainty-chin combo.” Dr. Steven Teitelbaum an associate professor of plastic surgery at UCLA School of Medicine notes, “There’s less of a desire now for a conventionally white-bread face. People are embracing strong features like ethnic, non-traditional noses.” Rather than having traditional rhinoplasty, patients are opting for chin implants to balance their look. Or they are shaving down their nose slightly to reduce its size.
Procedures are becoming faster and less invasive. They produce desired results with little recovery time. The drawback? More men are becoming addicted. It is so easy to improve their look that they keep going back for more procedures. The upside? According to research from the University of Texas, “Good-looking people get hired sooner, land promotions faster, and earn an average of 3 to 4 percent more than those with below-average looks.” Some men are using plastic surgery to improve their odds and increase their salaries.
“Your face is the first thing people see,” says Dr. Richard Arabitg. “The more confident you are in your looks, the more confident you are in your job and your life. I have performed plenty of cosmetic procedures on men. There is something about their look that they want to change or improve. I help them achieve the look that they desire.”
Dr. Richard Arabitg takes time to get to know his patients first. He finds out the reasons behind their desire for surgery, and what the end result they are hoping for is. He discusses realistic options and risks associated with each one. He assures that patients know what they are getting in to before they start. “I only recommend procedures that are appropriate for the patient. If I don’t think something will work, I don’t offer it. I personally follow up with each patient to ensure that they are fully satisfied with the work.”
Some of the procedures he offers include face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, and a variety of injections. They help patients achieve more defined features and reduce wrinkles. Whatever the look they are going for, he has options to help. He also uses technology to show patients a digital representation of how they will look afterward. This helps them to decide how much of a change they are looking for. Dr. Richard Arabitg helps men and women become more confident in the way they look.
