Stripes is a 1981 comedy starring Bill Murray as a cab driver who decides to join the United States Army after an overwhelmingly bad day. The film follows Murray’s character through basic training, his unlikely deployment to Italy and an accidental rescue mission in Czechoslovakia. The film’s cast includes several now-well-known actors in their first significant film roles.
