We’re pleased to once again be part of ASSE Safety, an important event where the professional safety community has the opportunity to come together to advance our common goal: sending workers home safely to their families at the end of each day.
Milford, PA (PRWEB) June 20, 2013
Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and labels, announces its sponsorship and participation in the American Society of Safety Engineers’ (ASSE) Safety 2013 Professional Development Conference (PDC) and Exposition to be held June 24 – 27 in Las Vegas, NV.
The Safety 2013 sponsorship builds on the longstanding partnership between Clarion and ASSE – the oldest professional safety organization, committed to protecting people, property and the environment – as part of the company’s efforts to support safety professionals and reduce workplace risk. Other recent initiatives include partnering with the ASSE Foundation to sponsor an annual $5,000 scholarship, the Clarion Safety Doctoral Scholarship, awarded each spring to an aspiring safety communication professional pursuing a doctoral degree in occupational safety and health.
In addition to its sponsorship, Clarion will participate in ASSE’s Safety 2013 Expo by exhibiting at booth #2024, showcasing the power of effective facility safety sign systems, as well as providing resources on understanding OSHA’s proposed standards update to regulations on workplace safety signs and tags.
Clarion’s CEO, Geoffrey Peckham, will lead Educational Session 531, “Reducing Risk in Paradise – Steps the Atlantis Resort Took to Improve Guest Safety.” The PDC session, presented by Peckham and Ronald E. Smith, CPCU, ARM, AMIM, Kerzner International North America, Inc., will explore how effective visual safety communication can reduce risk and protect people, shown through the new safety sign system protecting guests at the Bahamas’ Atlantis Paradise Island waterpark and resort.
“We’re pleased to once again be part of the ASSE Safety PDC and expo, an important event where the professional safety community has the opportunity to come together to advance our common goal: sending workers home safely to their families at the end of each day,” says Clarion president, Deb Patterson. “We look forward to talking with other environmental, health and safety leaders to learn about their work, their hazards, and the ways Clarion expertise can help to create the new benchmark for safety communication in their industries. By working together, we believe we can take a dramatic step forward in keeping people safe from harm.”
