Resident Power at $0.0649

"I am hopeful that we can squeeze another month or two in at the $0.0649 rate" - Bart Fromuth

Resident Power’s popular variable electricity rate remained at $0.0649 for a third consecutive month this past June making it the best “bargain” in New Hampshire, according to Managing Director Bart Fromuth. “I think the fear with variable rates is always that the rate will always go up after the first month, it’s nice to show our customers that this isn’t the case with Resident Power. We work tirelessly with our suppliers to ensure that they keep their rates as low as possible in order to give maximum benefit to our customers.”

Resident Power is a New Hampshire based electricity service provider that specializes in helping residential and small commercial customers lower their electricity supply rates. The current $0.0649 variable offering through Resident Power is approximately 32% lower than the current PSNH rate of $0.0954.

PSNH, however, has recently announced that their standard offer rate will be decreasing to $0.0862, effective July 1 of this year. Fromuth is confident that Resident Power will be able to continue offering significant discounts versus the new PSNH offering, but cautions customers that 20% savings is more realistic going forward.

“Based on the below average temperatures we have seen this summer, I am hopeful that we can squeeze another month or two in at the $0.0649 rate. There is a benefit to all this rain,” jokes Fromuth “and folks should notice that benefit on their power bills.”

Resident Power was the first to offer competitive electric choice in New Hampshire and has been serving customers since March of 2011. It celebrated its second birthday earlier this spring and is now able to offer rates to both PSNH and the New Hampshire Electric Co-op customer base. Resident Power was the first aggregator to offer these savings to the Co-op late last month.

Resident Power is a family owned business and is part of the Freedom Logistics family of energy companies. Resident Power is the official electricity partner of the Retail Merchants Association of New Hampshire.
