Kitchen tables, dining room tables, coffee tables and night tables made from white wood are especially susceptible to damage risks from dark beverage spills, heated cups that leave brown spots, and scratches that chip away at the top white layer.

TablePadFactory.com, the design online website for protective custom Table Pad and Table Pad Accessories for both the home and office, launched the first of their summer color leatherette top line on Monday. The new leatherette surface color, Antique White, joins their Woodgrain Color Collection and a family of of table protective products.

The Antique White line is made of a pure white background, with soft etched streaks of light brown color, against a wooded like texture of dimensional creases. Inspired by historical vintage and country cottage themes, this new color is designed for furniture and rooms with white distressed décor, like nook corner benches, traditional detailed kitchen cabinets, and intricate bordered armoires. This color tablepad compliments both old English home style as well as country comfort home style, making it a versatile option for homes that encompass a variety of traditional elements.

Kitchen tables, dining room tables, coffee tables and night tables made from white wood are especially susceptible to damage risks from dark beverage spills, heated cups that leave brown spots, and scratches that chip away at the top white layer. The Antique White table pad was created to protect white tables from these risks while at the same time allowing for the preservation of the design look of distressed, white wood. The durable, antique white leatherette surface and soft velvet bottom provide protection in context with a room’s décor.

The company spent several months researching and experimenting with different shades of white and brown combinations, in order to create the optimal distressed white look. Dozens of prototypes were created before the Antique White hue was selected to market.

Primary research among a group of local and national interior designers showed that there was a challenge in the design market: how to protect antique white furniture without losing the very historical essence that makes the furniture valuable and special. Solid White color matched the white color but not the distressed look, while distressed browns matched the wooden look but not the color. The Antique White table pad solves for the design market need by bringing traditional wood grain texture together with a white, distressed color.

As the newest member of the Wood Grain Table Pad Collection, which is known for its etched wood-like texture, Antique White gives a formal yet comfortable look to table top protection. It’s akin to its sister in the White Solid Collection since both are similar colors and can be used interchangeably for basic décor, but the light brown distresses in the Antique White make it a better choice for country and classic themes. Antique White is also a nice choice for indoor tables during the summer, as it fits in nicely with summer Hampton cottage styles.

The Antique White table pad collections are priced at the same wholesale prices the rest of the company’s product colors. It will be available in custom created sizes, shapes and table leafs, and can be ordered through TablePadFactory’s online ordering system, over the phone or via their in-home measuring service. The product will be built with the same patented Magnetic Locking System called Magnaloc™ that TablePadFactory uses in all of its pads, which prevents slipping and parting of pads.

The Antique White color is available with any combination of bottom velvet colors. Product options include Antique White-Black, Antique White -Brown, Antique White –Burgundy, Antique White-Green and Antique White-Tan. TablePadFactory plans on launching several more antique themed table protective products over the next year to address market needs to preserve historical furniture.
