As a leading supplier of Building Information Modelling (BIM) software, Cadventure Ltd is inviting student architects, interns, lecturers and architectural employers to the first of its new BIM training courses in July 2013.

The Cadventure BIM course is well positioned to support students and junior staff with their development and the acquisition of specialist BIM skills.

BIM software training at 2013 summer school

In an important initiative for BIM software training in the UK, London and Cotswolds-based Cadventure has announced its five-day BIM summer school http://www.bimsummerschool.com for 2013. The course will run at Cadventure’s London’s Building Centre training suite from 22–26 July. Attendees will use the market-leading Bentley AECOsim Building Designer http://www.cadventure.co.uk/AECOsim_Building_Designer_Update1_More.html application to experience the advantages of BIM, practice 2D drafting, learn intelligent conceptual 3D design, understand the full BIM creation process, and discover how to optimise outputs and deliverables.

BIM training for architecture students and interns

BIM is already a key part of architectural and engineering design. Building Information Modelling software will only become a more important part of architects and engineers’ design toolkits in future. The Cadventure summer school is primarily targeted at students and interns who are relatively new to BIM modelling. It will also appeal to academics, employers and others wanting to know more about implementing BIM workflows and realising their design visions with Bentley’s software.

Improving skills and employability

For students and interns doing building information modelling in UK educational establishments and practices, the summer school will help improve their skills and increase their employability with the latest BIM training. Lecturers will also gain valuable insights and meet industry experts, while employers will build stronger teams and support employees. At only £595 per person, the summer school represents an accessible investment in future skills or keeping up to date with BIM for architecture. As a bonus, attendees will also receive a complimentary two-year academic licence for Bentley software (including AECOsim BIM software, MicroStation and PowerDraft) – with a commercial value of more than £4000!

BIM training courses with wide appeal

Announcing the inaugural summer school, Elaine Lewis, Cadventure’s Commercial Director, highlighted the wide-ranging appeal of the course for architectural students, interns and others who use or will use BIM in construction:

‘As well as up-and-coming design professionals, we also want to reach academics and potential employers of year-out and graduate architecture students with our BIM courses, of which this is the first. Our courses are well positioned to support students and junior staff with their development and the acquisition of specialist BIM skills. The benefits of BIM knowledge are unquestionable. This is a valuable “must attend” course for the challenging times facing students and interns. With places limited, anyone interested should visit the Cadventure BIM Summer School microsite.’
