Two Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Global board members received top honors at the annual ACG New York Champion Award Gala. The ceremony was held on June 20 at the Metropolitan Club on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. At the event, Pamela Hendrickson, chief operating officer of The Riverside Company and vice chairman of the ACG Global board of directors, received the Peter Hilton Founder’s Award. In honor of Peter Hilton, who founded the association in 1954 in New York City, the annual award is given by ACG New York to the individual who has demonstrated extraordinary vision and growth leadership in the middle market through their contribution to ACG New York.
“As a chapter, we could think of no one better suited to receive this award than Pam,” said Martin Okner, managing director for SHM Corporate Navigators and president of ACG New York. “From her countless hours spent advocating for private capital and middle-market business in Washington to her activity with the ACG Global Board as the incoming chairman, Pam’s groundbreaking vision, focus and contribution to the middle market will continue to help the industry and ACG thrive well into the future. It is our honor to present this award to her.”
The Chapter Leadership Award was presented to Steve Prostor, director, senior credit officer and head of loan syndications, Citi Private Bank, Citibank NA, and member of ACG Global board of directors. The Chapter Leadership Award recognizes a member of ACG New York’s leadership team who has demonstrated leadership above and beyond the call of duty.
“As the past president and now chairman of our ACG New York chapter, Steve worked tirelessly to set up a strategic planning process and infrastructure for our organization that would support long-range growth in membership, innovation on how we engage and connect with our members to form a community, and streamline our governance – all while maintaining the high level of participation we receive from our board of directors,” said Lou Halstead, ACG New York chapter executive. “Steve has built a foundation for success in this chapter that we will benefit from for many years to come.”
ACG Global joins ACG New York in congratulating Pam Hendrickson and Stephen Prostor on their awards.
“On behalf of ACG Global, we are elated that Pam and Stephen have received these prestigious awards,” said Charles J. Morton, Jr., partner, Venable LLP and current ACG Global chairman of the board. “Their contributions at the local chapter level have been substantial, and they bring that same vision and leadership to the global level of ACG, as well.”
