Private Investigators Nottingham give information on employee monitoring services in light of recent BBC News report dated 20 June 2013: Civil servant faces jail over pension scam

In my professional opinion it is a good idea to invest in some employee monitoring as it can also be used as a preventative measure as well as to catch an employee in the act of foul play

According to the recent BBC News article dated 20 June 2013: Civil servant faces jail over pension scam; Dundee man, David Allan signed off on pension payments to an account in his own name to gain more than £42,000. An investigation was carried out at the pension centre where Allan worked when the family of one of his victims reported missing payments to cover funeral expenses. The investigation uncovered that Allan had used the details of the deceased family member and had signed a manually processed form to release payment to his account.

The BBC News report dated 20 June 2013 goes on to say that Dundee Sheriff Court heard that Allan was seen on CCTV making withdrawals from the account at post office branches in Dundee and in Birmingham. Stills from the CCTV were later confirmed to be the accused by the manager of the Dundee Pension Centre. Sheriff Elizabeth Munro deferred sentence for four weeks and released Allan on bail (case number SCS/2012-049660)

Private Investigators Nottingham has found that employee monitoring has had a big impact on the companies that have engaged their services. Misconduct investigations into employee theft, fraud and harassment have been the most fruitful when covert CCTV has been put in place and work PC Monitoring undertaken. Investigators have even gone into the business in an undercover capacity to catch fraudsters, conspirators and embezzlers, like Allan, red handed.
