I'm really happy to be expanding my partnership with Peanuts Worldwide!” says Khoa. “Instagram will be another great social media platform for sharing short stories, just like on Vine. I can't wait to see what we can do with Snoopy and the Peanuts gang.
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 20, 2013
Peanuts Worldwide announced today that the company has expanded its partnership with Vine animator Khoa Phan by signing him to an exclusive agreement to create custom videos for the recently announced Instagram video service.
Over the course of the next year, the artist (known as Khoa, pronounced “Kwah”) will create 10 custom Instagram videos featuring the Peanuts characters for Peanuts Worldwide on their @Snoopygrams Instagram account. Peanuts will debut their first Instagram video in July. Earlier this year, Khoa was signed to a 12-Vine deal with Peanuts Worldwide, creating six-second Peanuts-themed videos using the Vine app. Khoa’s first Peanuts Vine video made its debut at the end of May.
“As always, ‘Joe Cool’ is at the forefront of what’s happening this minute, as Snoopy leaps to the brand-new Instagram video service,” says Cory Cole, social media director for Peanuts Worldwide. “Our partnership with Khoa on Vine is already a huge success, and we’re excited to bring Snoopy and company to life in a creative and witty new way for Peanuts’ tens of thousands of fans on Instagram.”

Twenty-three year-old Khoa Phan, an amateur artist, began using the Vine app the day after Twitter released it in January of this year. It only took two tries to launch him into the spotlight.
Featuring what was to become his signature message, Phan’s first “Editor’s Choice” vine used stop-motion animation to send construction paper “bubbles” floating across a tabletop; as the bubbles pop, they spell out “Have a good day!” To date, Phan has created more than 100 vines and has attracted more than 44,000 Vine followers. Two of his vines—“Rawr means ‘I love you’ in dinosaur” and “Some light trouble”—were shortlisted in the Animate category of the Tribeca Film Festival’s #6SecFilm competition (making him the only creator to have more than one film in the finals).
Phan has recently been profiled on CNN’s “The Lead” and was heralded as “Vine’s Most Creative Stop-Motion Animator” by Mashable.
