In an article by United Press International, it was reported that in Radomsko, Poland, a drunk dentist extracted the front tooth of a patient who was requesting a crown.

The dentist prepared for the procedure by polishing the patient's front teeth and giving him five anesthetic injections. However, the patient became suspicious that the dentist was drunk, but unfortunately the damage was done.

“After a few minutes, the 28-year old saw that his front tooth had landed in the bin and at that moment, he decided to protest,” said police spokeswoman Aneta Komorowska. The patient ashed for his dental records, but the dentist refused and had barricaded himself in his office when police arrived.

The police determined that the dentist was under the influence of alcohol and administered blood tests to detect how intoxicated he was when performing the incorrect procedure. Charges will likely be brought against the dentist after medical experts determine the extent of the damage caused by the inebriated dentist, Polskie Radio reported.
