Dealing with cash and checks to pay a friend is bothersome for many people. I know it was for me before I built this service. TippingCircle is here to ease money exchanges between friends and make the world a better place with the social help network.

TippingCircle has launched their social payment platform to IOS and Android as a free download. This first release of the app enables users to send and request tips (payments) with their social connections or to any email address. In just a few taps, money can be instantly sent to another person. It truly is “convenience to the touch” as they claim.
Future versions of the app will include social integrations, account management, and tipping bucket functionality for group payments and fundraising. Currently the app serves more as an extension to their website application. A user can create an account on the app, but in order to process payments in real-time, they must first complete the account setup process on the website. This is a good version 1.0 giving people the ability to quickly send payments on the go. Future releases of the app will get it closer to being independent from the main website allowing it’s users to fulfill all the core functionality of TippingCircle’s platform from their mobile devices.
TippingCircle launched 8 months ago with a website application offering different ways to process personal payments. P2P payments (person-to-person), allows users to exchange personal tips with friends without fees making it completely free to send and receive money. The Tipping Buckets have also solved a big need in the personal payments space allowing users to setup group payments and run social fundraising campaigns all from a single software application. The feedback they’ve received from their fast growing user base has been extremely positive as TippingCircle continues to release new features and now a mobile app.
As more people stop using cash, there is a growing need for personal payments online. The mobile app is designed to make it quick and easy to send or request money at any time and simplify the painful process of remembering who owes who and how much.
“Dealing with cash and checks to pay a friend is bothersome for many people. I know it was for me before I built this service. TippingCircle is here to ease money exchanges between friends and make the world a better place with the social help network.” said James Davis, the founder.
TippingCircle expands a user’s social network with a social payment profile that captures and shares the fun activities friends do together. When a tip is sent, the user can include a message about the event that draws attention to the fun time they spent together, as opposed to the money exchange itself. TippingCircle not only tracks and processes the payments but also adds a social layer making it easier and less bothersome to handle money issues between friends.
