One in every 33 children may have depression, according to kidshealth.org. DJ Brannon reveals her first children’s novel, The Angelic Soldiers, to provide guidance for children when they are looking for answers and understanding in a world that is full of negativity; especially, when the forces of evil appear to be prevailing. Brannon takes the reader through a continuing battle of good versus evil, while receiving an undertone of subtle messages that create inspiration and a feeling of hope.
Brannon is a passionate and committed Christian who believes children need help from adults and guidance with worldly issues. The Angelic Soldiers is a children’s novel with the intention to help guide children when they have lost their hope and given up on their dreams.
The Angelic Soldiers includes action, inspiration and messages for children. Brannon believes the characters will help children have a better understanding of what righteous behavior entails. She foresees the novel to assist children in having a better understanding of how to keep their hope and dreams alive by not allowing negative words or thoughts keep them from what is in their heart. The Angelic Soldiers was written for the Christian as well as the non-Christian or Secular group.
“Through my book I’m hoping that children will see that they should never give up regardless of what others say, think or do,” said Brannon. “They need to hold on to what is good and what brings life.”
