Eric Egeland the dynamic founder and CEO of Capacity Business Consulting was recently featured on the popular Marist Radio station WMAR “on line”. Show host Shaun Jennings, a friend of Eric’s, and co-host Stephanie interviewed Eric for about 15 minutes starting with Eric’s background.
Eric shared his personal motivation for starting Capacity which revolved mainly around the archaic method by which most companies go about solving problems. He describes the process where executives are called into a room to “brainstorm” and how leadership typically goes with the solution proposed by the loudest or most experienced manager. Eric describes how faulty these subjective opinions and experiences can be and suggests a much sounder method of objectively researching a proper solution.
Shaun goes on to ask Eric’s opinion on the local business market, Eric’s latest book “Employees, Kids, and Pets – How to Get Out of Your Own Way and Be a Better Manager or Parent” and finally asks what main thing Eric has learned over his career.
The latest edition of Orange County Chamber Business Watch also featured Eric as their “Ambassador of the Month”. The story focuses on the huge value of being a chamber member as Eric’s motivation for giving back so heavily.
