Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 25, 2013
Gravitas LLC today announced the return of the company's founder, Ken Schwenke, to an active role as Chairman and CEO. Ken returns to Gravitas from DFC Global Corp where he served as President for the past two years, and as a board member since 2006. In that role, Ken led the company's efforts to craft a global strategy across the company's nearly 1500 stores, internet, and mobile platforms in 11 countries and to align the organization to support that global complexity.
According to Mr. Schwenke, "Though financial services offers challenge and opportunity, the governance challenges facing U.S. small and mid cap boards are challenges that will, I believe, be cresting over the next decade as new talents are needed by boards to deal with today's challenges. I look forward to leading the Gravitas team to help our clients meet these challenges head on."
Ken's return to Gravitas will allow for the company's enhanced focus on the small and mid cap board of director search segment of the business, in partnership with a leading non-profit focused on board education, while at the same time continuing to build Gravitas' robust executive search segment.
In addition to Mr. Schwenke's role at Gravitas, he has served on over 40 both public and private boards of directors and currently serves on 4 boards, as well as serving as a Trustee of the Haverford School and an adjunct Professor of Business at Villanova University.
