St. Louis County Employee Faces Child Porn Charges

According to a June 19, 2013 article by the Duluth News Tribune, a public works employee, Bruce Robert Hosking, 63, of Brevator Township was charged on June 19th with knowingly possessing child pornography, a felony.

The Duluth News Tribune also reported that the county’s sheriff’s deputies and the area’s Forensic Technology and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force took part in Hosking’s arrest at 7:20 a.m. at the Richard H. Hansen Public Works Building, 4787 Midway Road. He was arrested on probable cause for five felony counts of possession of pornographic works involving minors.

A search warrant was executed at Hosking’s home, where additional evidence was located, and the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said. The most shocking news reported by the Duluth News Tribune, was that according to the incident report, Hosking confessed to knowingly possessing child pornography at work and home. He was hired by the county in April 1977, and is currently survey Technician I in the Public Works Survey Division.

He remains employed by the county during an internal investigation, said Dana Kazel, St. Louis County communications manager.
