The new Sportline SOLO 965 strapless heart rate monitor and activity computer is now available at the Heart Rate Watch Company according to spokesperson Rusty Squire.
The Sportline SOLO 965 is the the first fitness device with FitTrac™ and MoveTrac™ technologies and a built-in Calorie Genius 24 hour calorie burn tracking. "This strapless heart rate monitor is designed to track your resting heart rate over time and also record the intensity of movement 24 hours-a-day to show users how they are improving fitness condition and burning calories," says Rusty Squire, president of the Heart Rate Watch Company.
Who Is It For
The SOLO 965 is a good option for more casual exercisers that want to avoid having to wear a chest strap and would prefer a Sportline strapless heart rate monitor. "The watch uses basic accelerometer technology to track movement and then periodic heart rate values from a touch sensor", says Squire.
"This watch will track 24 hour calorie burning based upon motion which is much like the Polar FA20 and other activity computers," says Squire. He adds, "Those interested in more serious heart rate based training still need to look at Suunto, Garmin and Polar heart rate monitors for continuous heart rate and zone training."
"We had very good luck with the previous version of this watch called the Sportline 960 for swimmers wanting periodic heart rate in the pool," says Squire. He adds, "We carry these watches for people who absolutely can't accept the idea of a heart rate strap."
"The SOLO 965 is a good first step solution for someone first getting into heart rate and activity monitoring," says Squire.
The Sportline SOLO 965 is on sale and available at the Heart Rate Watch Company for $79.95.
