This week the Monster Energy team is ready for action as X Games Munich 2013 gets underway with four days of competition from Thursday, June 27 through Sunday, June 30. The athletes will compete across skateboarding, BMX, mountain bike, rally, and moto disciplines—don’t miss Monster Energy’s exclusive updates straight from Germany.

Truly a global endeavor for the first time, this year X Games is a total of six events all over the world. Winter events in Aspen and Tignes have already gone off, as well as X Games Foz Do Iguaçu and X Games Barcelona. The tour hits Munich, Germany before wrapping up in Los Angeles, Calif.

Visit Monsterenergy.com for a full athlete list and bios. Highlights include:

Nyjah Huston, back for more gold in Street League Skateboarding. He’s winning streak lately has been dominant with wins at every event this year, including X Games stops in Brazil and Barcelona and at Street League Kansas City just weeks ago. But the field is stacked with Monster Energy riders, including Shane O’Neill, Peter Ramondetta, Ishod Wair, and Chris Cole, who took 2nd at Street League Kansas City as he unleashed a bevy of new tricks.

Over in Skateboard Vert, look out for Pierre Luc Gagnon. Although PLG has gone winless for the X Games 2013, he is a man that always seems to be at the top of the podium and will be hungry for a return to the throne in Munich. He is also on a streak with his recent first place win in Vert at the Kia World Games 2013 in Shanghai and his second place victory in Skate Vert last weekend in Ocean City Beach, Maryland at the Dew Tour.

Look out for the always-exciting Jake Brown in Skateboard Big Air—if he’s able to put together his full run over the massive gap and huge quarterpipe, a strong finish is well within his grasp.

In Men’s Skateboard Park, representing Monster Energy will be Ben Hatchell and Raven Tershy. Both skateboarders took heavy slams last month in Barcelona and will be out for the gold against a stacked field in Munich.

Leading the charge for Monster Energy moto are Jeremy ‘Twitch’ Stenberg, Josh Hansen, Nate Adams, and Edgar Torronteras. At X Games Barcelona last month Torronteras, Twitch, and Hansen went 1-2-3 on the podium making for a Monster Energy sweep. Hansen will also be back for more in Moto X Step Up, having taken a surprise silver in Barcelona.

Representing Monster Energy in Moto X Freestyle will be Adam Jones, Taka Higashino, and Nate Adams—after a disappointing cancellation of the event at X Games Barcelona due to weather, the riders will be throwing down huge for the fans in Munich. Higashino remains the biggest threat for Moto X Freestyle after winning in Foz do Iguacu. On the heels of his bronze in Barcelona, Adams will also be battling in Speed & Style where he’ll be joined by teammate Andre Villa.

In BMX Big Air, look out for Vince Byron, looking to back up and improve on the Silver he earned in Barcelona. He’ll be joined by teammate Andy Buckworth in the event.

In BMX Park, look out for Scotty Cranmer, Pat Casey, and Kyle Baldock. Cranmer bagged the Bronze in Barcelona, thus earning his 7th X Games medal.

Finally, don’t miss the all-new Mountain Bike Slopestyle event, where Cameron Zink, Sam Pilgrim, Sam Reynolds, and Brett Rheeder will hold it down for Monster Energy.

Stay glued to Monsterenergy.com for tons of updates on the Monster Energy crew at X Games Munich 2013. Throughout the four days of competition the site will be loaded with behind-the-scenes updates and exclusive photos.
