It's a fantastic trend to see more and more businesses demonstrate their support of our military this 4th of July
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 27, 2013
Over 15,000 businesses nationwide are offering free or discounted meals, event admissions, or tours to military and veterans for the 2013 Fourth of July weekend. New discounts from national chains like Petro Shopping Centers, Pottery Barn Kids and Outback Steakhouse join longstanding supporters of military discounts giving military families more options than ever to stop, shop, and eat. A detailed list of businesses providing Fourth of July discounts and their terms and conditions can be found at The Military and Veterans Discount Center (http://www.mvdc.net), the web’s largest source of discounts for military personnel and veterans.
Perennial supporters of Fourth of July military discounts like The Home Depot and Lowes return with 10% off in store purchases. Cedar Fair Entertainment will again show appreciation for military service with free admission and discounted tickets for family members at their amusement parks nationwide. Military personnel and veterans can eat at no cost (up to $15) at any Petro Truck Stop nationwide. Pottery Barn Kids is offering active duty personnel 10% off any in store purchase. Outback Steakhouse is offering 10% off meals with a valid military ID on July 4th.
"It’s a fantastic trend to see as more and more businesses outwardly demonstrate their support for our military by actively promoting discounts to military and veterans" says Terrence Thomas, CEO of Military Service Rewards, LLC, which operates the Military and Veterans Discount Center (MVDC). "We love it when small businesses step up and offer discounts in addition to the national chains." added Thomas.
In addition to 4th of July military discounts, MVDC has a comprehensive list of military and veterans discounts at over 325,000 locations. Military personnel and veterans interested in finding discounts can log on to MVDC.net to find discounts in their area. There is no charge for military personnel and veterans to use the site and businesses can also promote their discounts on MVDC.net at no cost, year round.
"The 325,000 businesses that we have listed on our site are likely only a small fraction of the businesses that actually have special programs in place for military veterans and active duty personnel" added Thomas. "We are on a mission to get to 1 million businesses with discounted listed by Veterans Day 2013." Businesses interested in promoting their deals on MVDC can go to http://www.mvdc.net, and click the add- a-discount link. Listings are normally posted live to the website and the MVDC mobile application same day.
If you are veteran or a military member interested in finding out which one of the over 15,000 businesses have specials close to your home, go to http://www.mvdc.net and click on the July 4th Military Discounts link.
