CPAmerica International members showcased their excellence and leadership at the 2013 AAM Summit in Las Vegas as speakers, committee chairs and through involvement in the board of directors for the Association for Accounting Marketers.
CPAmerica, an association of independent, certified public accounting firms provides practice management support, marketing support and many other services for the improvement of its member firms. CPAmerica’s marketing group meets yearly and recently co-located alongside the AAM Summit and the AICPA Practitioner’s Symposium. As a result of this yearly gathering, the groups have developed close professional relationships and the desire to help their fellow CPAmerica members improve.
This year in particular, the group of marketers was heavily involved with the marketing association.
Larry Feld, Hunter Group CPA LLC, and Pauline Gonnering, Cummings, Keegan & Co., P.L.L.P, participated as speakers during the Summit. Feld presented winning strategies for trade show exhibition. Feld is a longtime participant in the CPAmerica Marketing Executive Committee (MEC), including past committee chair. Gonnering was on a panel with respected peers in the profession discussing how marketers can serve a strategic role in a CPA firm. She also served on the conference planning committee.
Joe Kovacs, Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs, will be a member of the 2013-2014 board of directors and is also the chair for the public relations committee of the association. Caren Rodriguez, Davenport, Marvin, Joyce & Co., LLP, is also highly involved with the accounting marketers as the chair of the email alert committee. She previously served as chair for the membership marketing committee.
As part of a partnership between AAM and the AICPA Tech + Conference/Practitioner’s Symposium, the combined conference took place on June 10-13, 2013 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. The CPAmerica Marketing Roundtable took place the next day, June 14, 2013, at the same location.
