New York, New York (PRWEB) June 27, 2013
The GUILD Agency Speakers Bureau & Intellectual Talent Management, Inc., an international speakers bureau and literary agency, celebrates its two year anniversary along with the signing of Blake Mycoskie, founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS, representing him for all domestic and international speaking engagements and appearances.
"We don't often stop working long enough to look up and see just how far the company has come in such a short time,” said Speakers Bureau President Jared Shahid. “I'm very proud of our team here and look forward to a future ripe with possibility."
Mycoskie, the person behind the idea of One for One which has turned into a global movement, started TOMS seven years ago after a trip in Argentina, where he witnessed the hardships faced by children growing up without shoes. Blake’s unique approach to business has awarded him with numerous accolades. In 2009, Blake and TOMS received the Secretary of State’s 2009 Award of Corporate Excellence (ACE). In 2011, Blake was named on Fortune magazine’s “40 Under 40” list, recognizing him as one of the top businessmen in the world. TOMS Shoes has given away ten million shoes in 40 countries during its seven years as a leader in social change.
"Public speaking has always been one of my favorite ways to share not only the story of TOMS, but to inspire others that giving and business do not have to be mutually exclusive,” said Mycoskie. “Whether it's an audience of students, businesspeople, or nonprofit leaders, I'm thrilled to connect with those who are seeking to make a difference in the world."
Founded in 2011 by James Marshall Reilly, The GUILD Agency is a full-service international speakers bureau, literary agency, social impact consultancy, and smart-content media firm with headquarters in New York City. Mycoskie will be joining a variety of other social entrepreneurs, non-profit founders and business leaders represented exclusively by GUILD, including ESPN Founder Bill Rasmussen, Pencils of Promise Founder Adam Braun, New York Times best-selling author Steven Kotler, former NBA player and gay rights activist John Amaechi and FEED Co-founder and international food systems expert, Ellen Gustafson.
Rasmussen said, "Working with The GUILD Agency has been a pleasure through and through. I'm very happy to be included on their roster of distinguished speakers and wish them a hearty congratulations on their two year anniversary."
