Career Directors International Tackles #1 Problem Cited by Self-Employed Resume Writers and Career Coaches with New Course

Resume writers and career professionals invest an inordinate amount of time and money in becoming certified and mastering their craft, but tend to struggle in building their business profits. In response, Career Directors International has introduced its newest program, Raise Your Prices with Ease, to rave industry reviews and results.

CDI created an innovative, grounded, and instantly implementable solution to what ails – a comprehensive and high-energy program on pricing and packaging services, selling them, and increasing close ratios for resume writers and career coaches.

Career Directors International (CDI) listened to their members when they repeatedly asked about building successful businesses for their career and resume services, specifically regarding pricing services, selling services, and closing the sale. In response, they created the new program, Raise Your Prices with Ease: The Sordid Topic of Coin.

Co-collaborator on the course and CDI President, Laura DeCarlo, states, “Each day our members empower job seekers to secure new employment, avoid losing their homes, increase their annual salaries, and more greatly enjoy their careers. So why is the average resume writer or career coach struggling themselves? They want to make a difference to others but they don’t know how to effectively make a living at what they do.”

The result was a valuable collaboration between DeCarlo and colleague Pat Schuler, CDI Board member and owner of Gemini Resource Group, the home of Kick Butt Sales Training. The two sought to create an innovative, grounded, and instantly implementable solution to what ails – a comprehensive and high-energy program on pricing and packaging services, selling them, and increasing close ratios.

The first live program launched in May to rave reviews by participants due to its intense customization and personalization for the careers industry audience. From a one day virtual workshop, outstanding results were attained by attendees. For instance, Cheryl L. Simpson of Executive Resume Rescue stated:

"In the two weeks since the COIN class I have closed 60% of my consults with two more still pending – my best win ratio ever. Plus, I increased each of my quotes and captured bigger packages and larger sales with each, to the tune of nearly $9K.
