The Farm to Table Cooking Class Epicurean Weekend is held July 12-14, 2013. Guests will enjoy a special cooking class at a local farm, pick the freshest ingredients and learn how to combine them for delicious dishes. The weekend combines: a Taste of the Weekend Reception on Friday; the harvesting of ingredients at a Farm Fresh Cooking Class Saturday at Pie Ranch; and Navio’s award-winning culinary brunch on Sunday. The Wine Blending Class Epicurean Weekend is July 26-28, 2013. The highlight for this weekend will be a Wine Blending experience, where chemistry is used to create a unique bottle of wine perfect for one’s pallet. The weekend blends: A Taste of the Weekend Reception on Friday; the creation of a personal crafted wine on Saturday, plus an ‘In the Kitchen Dinner’ hosted by Executive Chef Xavier Salomon; and Navio’s exceptional Sunday Brunch overlooking the bluffs and waves of the Pacific Ocean. The Cheese Making Epicurean Weekend is August 23-25, 2013. Guests will experience a special Cheese Making Class, where the goats who wander the pastures help create the handmade chevre. The weekend pairs: A Taste of the Weekend Reception on Friday; a Saturday tour of Harley Farms for a Cheese Making Class (at the restored 1910 dairy farm home to over 200 alpine goats, lush fields and pastures and a historic barn that has become the mercantile shop), plus, an ‘In the Kitchen Dinner’ hosted by Executive Chef Xavier Salomon; and a lovely Sunday Brunch at Navio where guests can create their own multi-course feast at assorted stations.
