"It was just a drop in the bucket. You are reminded of the story of the man throwing starfish into the water after the storm. It made a difference for each of the few instances in which we could be Jesus feet and hands and eyes, and work with His heart, to provide relief to those in need. And the need is great."
Robert Berry, prime force behind the monumental "555 Days of Prayer to Save America," as well as CEO and Servant Leader of both "Save America Gathering" and "One Church // One Voice," was speaking of recent aid projects completed by "One Church // One Voice" in Edo State, Nigeria. During the past few weeks, the "One Church // One Voice" has paid for a child's facial operation, relocated a ministry partner's church, paid for a former Muslim, Christian convert's continued education, paid to relocate a homeless Christian family, along with rebuilding a church burned by Islamic terrorists in Bauchi State, Nigeria. But, Berry maintained that there was no shortage of need in Nigeria, or any of the other countries in which "One Church // One Voice" has been active. It was, as he termed it, just a drop in the bucket, compared to the real and present needs existing around the globe, especially in religious persecution ravaged Nigeria.
The organizer of "555 Days of Prayer to Save America," talked, at length, about the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, and the seeming lack of global response to an obvious Islamist terror campaign. "We were so worried about the rights and freedom of people, during the so called "Arab Spring." Why is it different when the rights and freedoms in question are those of Christians? "555 Days of Prayer to save America" is themed after the five-hundred and fifty-five foot tall Washington Monument, and draws Christians, from all walks, as well as Messianic Jews, to pray, in concerted unity, for the United States of America, Berry also spoke of plans to place all his ministry organizations under one banner, "Robert P. Berry Ministries," with a future rollout now in early planning.
The spate of ministry activities has left the financial coffers of both "Save America Gathering" and "One Church // One Voice" in need of replenishment.
