Prague (PRWEB) June 27, 2013
The Drupal Association, the nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Drupal open source project flourish, today announced that registration for DrupalCon Prague is now open. DrupalCon Prague will take place at the Prague Congress Centre from 23-27 September 2013.
“Prague is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Europe and has an energetic Drupal community,” said Holly Ross, Executive Director of the Drupal Association. “Attending DrupalCon is a great investment in skills and relationships, and Prague is the perfect city to host this year’s event. We couldn’t be more excited to be working with the community to put on another great DrupalCon.”
DrupalCon events feature sessions by internationally-recognized speakers addressing a wide range of topics that appeal to software developers, website designers, IT managers and business executives. The open source Drupal CMS project brings all of these audiences together in one place to learn, share and network in a fun, energetic atmosphere.
“The long-term dream of many people in the Czech Drupal community is coming true,” said Eva Rázgová, a Prague software developer and Drupal community organizer. “DrupalCon is the premier event in the world to grow Drupal skills and network with the community. We are very excited to welcome people from all over the world to experience the event and enjoy the culture of Prague.”
The call for content for the show opened on 18 June and final sessions will be announced in late July. Sessions will focus on Drupal 8, the highly anticipated next release of Drupal that includes several new features and capabilities including improved support for HTML5, friendlier site editing tools, and mobile support with responsive design capabilities out of the box.
DrupalCon Scholarship and Grant applications are also open on the event website until 12 July. Scholarships and Grants provide recipients from around the world with financial assistance to attend the event.
