Commuter bike company, Brooklyn Cruiser announced today its partnership with Hamptons magazine to help celebrate its 35th anniversary. As part of the celebration, Hamptons magazine will work with celebrities as well as fashion, home and design tastemakers to custom design Brooklyn Cruiser bicycles as part of a charitable auction.
The custom designed Brooklyn Cruisers will be unveiled at Hampton’s annual Memorial Day celebration on May 25th and will continue to be showcased at various locations throughout the Hamptons before being auctioned off at Hamptons’ 35th Anniversary party on July 12th by Fox NY’s Anchor and long-time Hamptons’ resident, Rosanna Scotto. Bicycles will also be available for bidding on Charitybuzz.com beginning June 28th at the release of Hamptons magazine’s 35th Anniversary issue.
All proceeds benefit Group For The East End, an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the environment of eastern Long Island, through education, citizen action, and professional advocacy. Participating designers include Hamptons Editor-in-Chief Samantha Yanks and Publisher Debra Halpert, Simon Doonan (Creative ambassador-at-large for Barney’s) and Jonathan Adler (Celebrated designer, author), Ali Wentworth (actress) and George Stephanopoulos (Good Morning America co-host and ABC news-reporter), Elie Tahari (fashion designer), Katie Lee (Chef and TV Personality) Sandra Lee (Chef and TV personality) and fashion and accessories design-house, C. Wonder.
