Paula Schmitz to Serve as Chief Executive Officer

Additech, North America’s leading outsourced operator of interactive merchandising systems at-the-pump additive has appointed its President, Paula Schmitz, to the Board of Directors to serve as Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Schmitz was appointed President last year after the Company terminated its prior CEO. Paula has been working closely together with Ralph Koehrer, Additech’s Executive Chairman, during the last nine months: together they have put the business back onto a firm footing using pragmatic, analytical management techniques and processes. “We have implemented a number of strategies to enable us to place the business back into growth mode,” commented Koehrer. “Paula’s business sense, company experience and no-nonsense approach have really helped us get the building blocks in place for long-term success.”

Paula combines solid business understanding with extensive experience in technology-based companies. “I am excited to be stepping into the position of CEO,” says Schmitz, “I have confidence in the new leadership team at Additech and see my role as enabling them to do what they do best: getting the job done and delivering results.”

Paula’s background includes General Counsel to a variety of technology companies in biotechnology, software, hardware, internet, medical device, wireless communications and healthcare. Prior to her career in law, she worked for major corporations primarily in the area of in corporate finance. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) and an arbitrator for the N.A.S.D. She earned a law degree from The University of Texas at Austin, following her completion of a Ph.D. in finance as well as a M.B.A. also from The University of Texas at Austin.
