“Good health is a changing and evolutionary process. We want to give our employees the tools and support they need to achieve the health they want to have.”

The new Evolve Wellbeing Program is onsite and during work hours, in order to be as convenient as possible for employees. No coming in on a day off, or being expected to use a lunch hour to take advantage of this new program—it comes to them!
“We want our employees to be happy and healthy,” stated Bonnie Evans, COO at Evaero. “It’s important to us that Evaero is a great place to work, and we feel developing our Evolve Wellbeing program will add to that.”
What makes the Evolve Wellbeing Program special is the extent and array of specific interventions that Dr. Pia Martin will be providing to Evaero employees. Among these include: nutrition counseling, gentle chiropractic interventions, physical therapy and life style coaching. Two important features of the Evolve Wellbeing Program are helping staff members develop a personal set of goals, and providing specific professional advice on how to create that well-being plan.
Dr. Pia Martin, DC, CCN, CWC, CHC brings both clinical education and years of experience to the Evolve Wellbeing Program. Dr. Pia (as she prefers to be called) feels that most people live somewhere between “just getting by” and “thriving.” Her goal is to help each person that she works with thrive, both physically and mentally. Her enthusiasm and dedication have already made an impression on those taking part in her well-being sessions at Evaero.
The Evolve Wellbeing Program is a multi-step process:
1) Private assessment with Dr. Pia to help give a “snapshot” of where the employee is today in terms of well being.
2) Taking this information and deciding just what a “thriving” state of well-being looks like for the individual, and then helping them choose one or two overall goals (such as weight loss, smoking cessation, stress reduction) to meet their desired state of well-being.
3) From these overall goals, break them down even further into specific steps and smaller goals that can be actively worked on for the next 12 weeks.
4) Employees meet with Dr. Pia weekly to see how they are doing with the bite-size goals, and talking about the challenges and rewards that have appeared by addressing them.
Evaero’s philosophy to their customers is “to empower treatment providers to deliver better patient care, while improving the health and lives of the people that go through their facilities." Evaero actively extends this philosophy and mindset to their own employees.
Offering a total well-being program is important to Evaero Founder and CEO, Duncan Evans. It was one of his goals during the start-up planning of Evaero. “Good health is a changing and evolutionary process,” explained Duncan. “We want to give our employees the tools and support they need to achieve the health they want to have.”
While individual sessions with Dr. Pia are private, and employees can opt out if they wish, the Evaero team hopes that employees will share their goals in order to give, and get, support.
Overall workplace well-being goals are being encouraged, such as practicing mindfulness during the work day, relaxing and having fun, sharing health tips and recipes, and being a place where healthy and positive behaviors are present as a normal part of the Evaero team.
