Imperial Tobacco has launched Smoke Spots (http://www.smoke-spots.co.uk) in the UK, a new website to support adult smokers and promote smoker-friendly venues.
Head of Consumer Marketing, Amy Kiss, said: “With this great new initiative, we are giving our consumers the chance to interact and form an online community where they can share great smoking experiences with each other.”
Smoke Spots is already live in Germany and Austria and now it has been extended into the UK, with London being the flagship city. The website highlights smoker- friendly venues and events. Key to the site is its social aspect; forums, blog articles, competitions and links to local events will help facilitate regular, experience sharing conversations amongst smokers.
Imperial Tobacco’s Head of Digital and Marketing Communications, Andy Henwood, said: “The UK is a very important market for us. We’ll be highlighting Smoke Spots through an integrated communication campaign including social media and a mobile app and we are confident awareness of this effective tool will quickly grow. We’ll be rolling Smoke Spots out to other cities in the UK in due course.”
