(PRWEB UK) 26 June 2013
According to LED Inside in an article published on the 26th June 2013, LED light bulb sales price has dropped by 1 per cent, taking it to an average of $16 in America and under €10 in parts of Europe. In May 2013, the actual selling price of a 40W LED light bulb declined by 6.9 per cent. This trend was continued worldwide apart from in the UK where LED lamp prices increase by 12.8 percent. This is said to be due to production delays and availability of bulbs compared to other countries.
The changes in prices worldwide were of great interest to LED supplier Simple Lighting Company who sells LEDs online to consumers and businesses alike. On hearing the news an expert member of the team said:
“It is extremely interesting to see that LEDs were more widely available overseas and as a result were cheaper than in countries such as the UK where production and development had slowed down, and in turn prices increased. The UK seems to be a little behind in creating cheap and easily available LEDs, something that countries such as China and Taiwan are excelling in and as a result driving down price.”
Simple Lighting Company continues to follow LED news from around the world and track the behaviour of consumers in various countries.
