CareTouch Communications, Inc. announced a key new feature to their CareTouch360™ platform that enables patients and home medical equipment providers (HMEs) to seamlessly and privately share and store relevant patient data and documentation.

By having a patient’s documentation readily available and up to date, providers are able to improve patient care, resolve claims issues faster, better manage adherence to therapy and ensure their patients have the supplies they need, when they need them.

Patients can upload and share documents using the web site or smart phone app. The platform allows them to instantly share relevant documentation with their provider quickly and efficiently, thus eliminating the paper chase. The patient can scan, or take a picture of the document and upload it into their record. This process eliminates miscommunication of information and provides the patient with an easy, safe and reliable way to share and store their documents.

CareTouch engages with patients on behalf of the HME during the adherence and maintenance phases of therapy. During adherence, or the first 90 days of therapy, CareTouch collects and analyzes patient data and provides alerts when intervention is needed. In the maintenance phase of therapy, CareTouch engages patients on resupply needs at the right time, and through the patient’s desired method of communication including automated phone system (IVR), live call, email, web, or postal mail.
