Angela Lee, MSW, LCSW has joined Aspire Indiana as Director of Outpatient Services at Aspire Indiana to work in the Carmel Outpatient offices. A licensed clinical social worker, Angela Lee, began her career working in mental health treatment at the age of 19 as a behavioral health clinician in an inpatient setting. After completing her Master’s of Social Work degree in May of 2000, Lee took a job as a clinical social worker for both a residential and outpatient program. Angela held multiple positions including case manager, therapist, team leader, program manager and lastly director of a large outpatient program during her 12 year tenure. Lee also worked for the past year as an outpatient director for a behavioral health organization.
Lee has worked in multiple facets of mental health such as inpatient, outpatient case management, therapy, residential programs, sub-acute programs, Assertive Community Treatment, Semi-Independent Living Programs, addiction and families.
Raised in a small rural community, Angela showed interest at young age in mentoring and working with others. Poverty and hardship were common in the rural community as well as lack of education towards diversity and accepting people with disabilities. Lee decided early on her career path would be to work to improve awareness of diversity and hardship as well as reducing the stigma of mental illness and other disabilities.
Aspire Indiana is a private nonprofit organization that provides therapy, recovery and employment services to people living with behavioral and mental health disorders, addictions and substance abuse. Aspire offer services to families and individuals of all ages at eleven locations conveniently located throughout Central Indiana, including Madison, Hamilton, and Boone, Counties and Washington and Pike Townships in Marion County.
