Sub Zero Ice Cream & Yogurt sets the ice cream trend in California as it opens its seventh fast-freezing store in the state. To celebrate the momentous event, storeowners Steve and Teri Grady are hosting a ribbon-cutting event Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 1:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the store location in the Tower 37 center at 201 Oak Avenue in Carlsbad Village. Representatives from the City of Carlsbad as well as the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance to try some delicious made-to-order ice cream.

"We are thrilled to join the thriving Carlsbad business community," said Teri Grady, operations manager at Sub Zero Ice Cream in Carlsbad. "Carlsbad is a premier family vacation destination and we believe this is an ideal location for an ice cream store. Not only is Sub Zero a place to relax and get a fantastic frozen desert, but it’s also an attraction on its own with the liquid nitrogen freezing process."

The Oak Ave. location opened for business on June 22 as the second location in Carlsbad to open this year. The first location is in the Carlsbad Westfield Mall and it continues to thrive.
