Flame-resistant work apparel

“Providing products that meet safety standards is vital to the operations of our customers and the protection of their employees,” said Bill Evans, President and CEO of AmeriPride.

June is National Safety Month, and AmeriPride Services is reinforcing its ongoing commitment to helping businesses promote health and safety in the workplace. The company has been working with businesses across the country to provide and install innovative health and safety products with existing and prospective customers.

“Providing products that meet safety standards is vital to the operations of our customers and the protection of their employees,” said Bill Evans, President and CEO of AmeriPride. “We continue to work with our valued partners to offer the latest in quality safety products and provide superior counsel and service to our customers.”

AmeriPride’s safety products and services include anti-fatigue floor mats, flame resistant apparel and enhanced and hi-visibility apparel.

Custom Floor Mats

OSHA estimated that productivity drops 33 percent for an average person standing on hard surface flooring, so AmeriPride offers anti-fatigue mats in a patented, raised surface design aimed at reducing worker discomfort. For example, the company’s nitrile rubber mat provides a non-skid, moisture resistant surface accepted by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Flame Resistant (FR) Apparel

Flame-resistant work apparel is designed for continuous wear in designated areas where intermittent exposure to flame or heat is possible. From pants and shirts to coveralls and lab coats, AmeriPride provides businesses with the latest fabric innovations and then launders these items according to specific standards for each FR garment, ensuring the fabrics maintain FR properties throughout the garment's life.

Enhanced and Hi-Visibility Apparel

Enhanced Visibility garments are designed to improve wearers’ visibility in lower risk environments, while the company’s Hi-Visibility products are designed for all workers, including emergency responders, workers who are exposed to traffic, and construction workers in a Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) zone. Offered apparel includes shirts, vests, jackets, pants and coveralls.

“Our Hi-Visibility products meet ANSI- 107, 2010 standards and our FR apparel meets NFPA 2112 and 70E standards,” said Evans. “These products help to keep employees safe and the company compliant.”
