The team at Comfort & Harmony™, a leader in nurturing baby products offers solutions for common breastfeeding problems. It is common for moms to have some problems with breastfeeding, but many problems can be easily solved. A mombo™ nursing pillow is one way to make breastfeeding easier.
"Breastfeeding is a natural process, but one that does not come easily to all women," said Alyson Grubard, Director of Brand Management and Licensing for Kids II®, the parent company of Comfort & Harmony. "Challenges can be especially frustrating when combined with the normal anxieties that come with parenting a newborn."
Some tips shared by experts from both The Huffington Post and Comfort & Harmony:
1.Take a breastfeeding class before the baby is born. Moms and dads can gain insight about what can actually be expected in those difficult first few days.
2.Keep baby close. Skin-to-skin contact is important. According to The Huffington Post (6.10.13), research shows that contact can relax both baby and mom. Skin-to-skin contact can also stimulate feeding behaviors and trigger the release of hormones that spur breastfeeding. The mombo breastfeeding pillow was designed with a unique shape to maximize the physical closeness between mom and baby.
3.Get comfortable. Breastfeeding moms should lean back and put their feet up. Many moms who get comfortable find it easier to get the baby into a comfortable position. The mombo can help both baby and mom get comfortable with a two-sided design called Firm2Soft. The firm side provides support for both baby and mom. The other side of the pillow is the soft side. It is designed for baby lounging, tummy time and sitting up.
4.Pump more frequently, but in shorter bursts. Many moms find they can produce more milk by pumping more often, for less time per session.
Mombo nursing pillows are available at Babies “R” Us, a carrier of Kids II brands since 1992. Babies “R” Us was also the exclusive launch partner for the introduction of the mombo nursing pillow in 2012.
Beyond pillows, Kids II designs, markets and distributes more than 400 unique baby and infant products. Babies “R” Us carries all seven brands under the Kids II corporate umbrella, including Bright Starts™, Ingenuity™, Comfort & Harmony™, Disney Baby™, Baby Einstein™, Oball™ and Taggies™.
