On June 17, Cabin Fever Vacations announced the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel as the number one attraction in Pigeon Forge for breathtaking views of the scenic Smoky Mountains.
The centerpiece for the new Island in Pigeon Forge attraction, The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is a 200-foot tall modern day ferris wheel that takes guests on a rotating aerial tour of Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains. Guests travel in one of the 42 all-glass, climate-controlled gondolas high above the bustling city of Pigeon Forge, TN. From atop the wheel, visitors have a breathtaking front row view of the scenic Smoky Mountains.
“What really attracted us to the Wheel at the Island in Pigeon Forge was its ability to bring a new perspective to the Great Smoky Mountains while allowing visitors to maintain close proximity to popular area attractions,” said Cabin Fever Vacations. “Guests to the area can experience the beautiful mountains that help define Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg without having to leave the Parkway in Pigeon Forge.”
Along with the mountains, guests also get an unique view of the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge below. Attractions viewable from the Wheel include The Tomb, LazerPort Fun Center and Track Raceway.
