These organisations can be confident that the health and safety consultant they choose will be accredited to a high standard

OSCHR was established in response to the Government’s Common Sense, Common Safety report, which was published in October 2010. The report recommended that all health and safety consultants should be accredited to professional bodies and that a web based directory established, which businesses could refer.
Consultants who provide commercial advice on health and safety management issues can join the scheme on a voluntary basis, but all consultants must have been assessed by their professional body, and must have achieved a set standard, based on their qualifications and experience.
Once accepted onto the register, the health and safety professional will be accessible to thousands of businesses around the UK. These organisations can be confident that the health and safety consultant they choose will be accredited to a high standard, and be committed to delivering sensible and proportionate health & safety advice for their workplace.
With one visit to http://www.oshcr.org/, businesses can explore the register and choose the right health and safety consultant for their workplace. By doing so, they can have confidence that the advice they receive, will be tailored to their business needs.
To find a consultant or for more information on the register, access the website and select ‘Find a Consultant’.
