Darylynn Eyewear Unveils First Collection, Marketing Strategy

Italian luxury inspired line launched in conjunction with new website and branded video.

The vintage pieces I've collected from the many different countries I visited became the inspiration for my first collection.

High-end international women’s eyewear brand, Darylynn Eyewear, is announcing the launch of its inaugural collection. Founded by Designer Darylynn Ayala, the designs blend vintage lines with a classic, feminine twist.

Darylynn Eyewear selects only the highest quality materials known in the competitive luxury market, with all the frames, lenses and cases hand crafted in Northern Italy. The frames are made with high quality acetate, lenses are CR39 gradient in color UV 400 category filter 3, and all metal is stainless steel with brush matte finish.

“During the course of my career I was afforded many opportunities to travel the world,” said Darylynn Ayala, Founder and Creative Director of Darylynn Eyewear. “The vintage pieces I've collected from the many different countries I visited became the inspiration for my first collection.”

The company’s website has also launched, creating an additional touch point for consumers to learn about Darylynn Eyewear. The content of the site includes a short film that takes place in New York; many scenes are shot in the heart of Central Park. The architecture of the set, combined with the vintage accessories featured throughout, provides a distinct voice and tone for the brand.

“The designs are bold, daring and exaggerated,” said Photographer and Film Director, Brian Edwards. “What’s intriguing about the film is that it tells a story using real women that you’d see on the streets wearing the brand, giving customers a connection different than that of a traditional retail website.”

Each style retails for $300. The collection can be found in boutiques in Manhattan as well as internationally in Optikerne Optics, Copenhagan, Denmark and in Selima Optique, Paris, France.

“Our eyes are the most sensual part of our being and deserve an accessory that protects them from the sun and from a crowd’s questionable curiosity. I draw inspiration from women like Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn, Bianca Jagger and Diana Ross, whose glamour and exuberant confidence are mixed with just the right dose of mystery, paralleling the style of Darylynn Eyewear,” said Ayala.
