Brigid Duffield Among Featured Speakers at Association of Divorce Financial Planners 11th Annual Conference

Brigid Duffield, author of The No-BS Divorce, Secrets of a Divorce Attorney, will address members of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners at the 11th Annual ADFP Conference, September 19-21 in Chicago, Illinois.

Brigid Duffield, author of The No-BS Divorce, Secrets of a Divorce Attorney, will address members of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners at the 11th Annual ADFP Conference, September 19-21 in Chicago, Illinois.

A highly regarded attorney and mediator, Ms. Duffield has been in private practice since 1984. Her practice concentration is on family law and domestic relations, financial disputes, custody disputes, child representative and guardianship appointments. She has represented more than 1,100 clients involving complex legal issues and has mediated more than 800 family law matters.

Ms. Duffield is an informative and entertaining speaker who has presented more than 100 seminars to the legal and financial communities on a wide range of legal and alternative dispute resolution topics. “My focus, in my practice and in my presentations, is on giving professionals a better understanding of the legal process for client families in transition,” she said.

According to Andrew Samalin, president of ADFP, conference attendees will benefit from Ms. Duffield’s presentation, Secrets of a Divorce Attorney. “Brigid gives us a look at divorce from an attorney’s point of view, with an insider’s tips on how to navigate the process quickly and efficiently,” he said. “This is just the type of practical information divorce financial planners need to help their own clients.”

Ms. Duffield is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and John Marshall Law School.

The 11th Annual ADFP Conference is being held at the Chicago Hilton/Magnificent Mile Suites.
